Stephen Ludwig, Varus Insight founder and CEO, started his professional career in radio and television at the ripe age of 18. Quickly moving into the newsroom, he developed a passion for getting to the core of an issue quickly and making sure that information was presented clearly in a way that had impact.
From there his career has included senior leadership roles at two FORTUNE 500 companies, winning state-wide elected office twice, and serving as vice-chairman of the Board and head of strategic planning for a $3.8 billion public institution.
"I value honesty, warts and all. If we don’t speak the truth, we can’t win. I value talent. Talent is the ability to deliver what’s needed, even if not spoken. I value creativity. Art, design, photography, video, music, and words can break through the noise and inspire, moving people to action. I value collaboration. While individual contribution is key, no one person has all the answers. I value mission. We need clarity of purpose. I value results. Otherwise, why bother? I value laughter. Because it makes work, and life, a lot better."
